OMG, this story is friggin' hilarious! I love it. In answer to your question: the abbreviation for until is 'til. At least that was what I was taught in grammar school ((USA) I don't know about other English speaking countries), but till can also be used. Till however, also has a different meaning such as working the land (plowing or some such). It depends on the context of the sentence I think on how you would use: 'til / till. I hope that answers your question :]
