This is basically THE best one shot i've ever read.
I absolutely love the bromance between Sirius and James, and this is EXACTLY how I pictured it. and yes!! SIRIUS IS ALIVE! I bawled when he "died"
but oh gosh, I'm not gonna lie, I literally teared up during the whole oneshot and cried from the second half... made it quite hard to read through the tears lol (quite effeminate of me lol)
This such a great tribute to HP, I'm so glad to have read this.

The first time James tells Sirius he loves him. It seems backwards, like he should be telling Lily he loves her, because, God, he does, but he’s loved Sirius for years now – in that brotherly, platonic way – and they’re best mates.

James raises an eyebrow. “I just told you I love you. I’m sure men don’t say that, either.”

“Yes, well, we’ve always known you were the more effeminate one.”

- This part of the story basically started my crying ...

awesome! i really like this overview; each piece was just long enough but not so wordy that its boring, and it was really cohesive. i think its a great portrayal of the james and sirius friendship. well done!

This story nearly made me tear as well, I'll have you know. Because I'm one of those people who writes Harry Potter fanfiction when I'm upset or giddy and one of those people who adore the Marauders with all her heart and wishes things would have turned out better for them, too, and so I totally get where you're coming from.

I've overanalyzed the Sirius/Remus dynamic to its near death, so reading this Sirius/James, well, it's interesting. I see things I hadn't thought of before, and they make sense. They make me smile and sad and they seem very, very real, and I applaud you for that. You did an excellent job, and its a wonderful homage to the series and its importance to people. Fabulous job.
