this is the best story on this entire site. so beautiful. I love it. thank you so very much my love.

The plot is ingenious, I haven't read anything like this fic in all my fanfictionised existence. Also, you have your own distinct style of writing, which is enjoyable to read. It's a shame you don't get recognition when other, crappier fics get many more reviews. Good luck with your writing :)

Now let me start by saying how clever this chapter was. The start in a very smart way is explaining how the very insane Deidara is not insane

This was a great chapter (as always). Also, I was wondering if you have taken any writing classes or are taking some cause this material is just wow.

haha Ino with more character! I usually don't like her as a 'person' but this...did not make me change my mind XD

well that's a horrible thing to say, all things considered with her circumstance and all. The strange-ness of ending up in the hospital after her mother has been killed, father knocked out, and a 'interrogation' by a former classmate (one she was clearly not to fond of) and a former family friend (ditto to the last aside).

But it also makes her character much more...understandable? yea. She clearly wants to avoid mentally dealing with ANY of this, and who wouldn't? the little tidbit about her dad just throw her over the edge. Its also interesting to see small parts of what she thinks of her adoptive brother, its almost as if she is delusional about him as well (but then again aint every one that way with there siblings? I know I am!)

And to that end, this chapter dident have Deidara in it true, but information about him was a important subject of the whole chapter. Also the subject of the wired (or...i guess not wired at all) way every one is connected to each other, with the possible key to all this being Deidara, and the only person not CRAZY enough to try and put it all together being Shikaku...

wait...did i word that right?

ok...I just say that... on one end you have Deidara, with the Yamanaka family-Kabuto-some others- Orochimaru all in the middle. Then on the other end is your gumshoe Shikaku who seems to be the only person holding on to enough of his sanity to find the answer to all this (or well...maybe he's just crazy in a different, much more relaxed way.

The question? huh...there are a bunch aren't there?

-Who's the killer?

-Is this directly related to Deidara?

-If so...why?

-This murder and the last one (almost 10 or so years ago right?)are to similar not to be connect right? but then why?

-Is there more then one Killer?

-Is the killer Sasori?

-Who is Sasori? a ever living killer (haha, ever living killer, how funny dose that sound!...sorry, side tracked there)

-If Deidara is the 'target' of this killer...why is the killer not killing him?

All these questions and more must be answered by Shikaku...or by Deidara...I sure as hell know I'm not smart enough to answer them

honistly this is one of the creepyest storys i'v ever read...i like ur writing style tho its deep and you can feel the emotions just eminating off of the computer screen. i like the whole mute deidara thing too it makes it alot esayer to connect with the whole way hes feeling. i'm aucllyu also shocked how you can write some of the angasty stuff like you did at the begining i had too do somthing like that for one of my storys but i just gave up cuz it made me depressed to write bad things about dei-chan. but any i love ur story overall and its awsome.

A question! Hiruko is...em, obssesed with Deidara too? Oh, I actually read this chapter pretty fast, that's bad.

The Sasori Hiruko split is understandable. Hiruko was his own person up until Sasori killed him and made him his 'favorite'.

So the two old men (Though Sasori is a very young 40) meet while the people they had trained are doing battle in Konoha. Is it fitting to say Shikaku has the upper hand? Hiruko is confident in Shikaku's ability's while Sasori has much doubt in Orochimaru's intentions.

Yep so the partner was Orochimaru? how...canon. He had the joker vibe going on (with the only thing in his pocket being lint and knifes.) He's rather hateful toward woman, but it might seem that thats his MO. With Orochimaru's blood lust it really seems like the connection to Sasori would have never been made if not for the re-enacting of Deidara's mothers death.

So dose that mean that he's been out killing this whole time and its just been such a huge departure from the first kill that no one would have connected them? It stands to reason...He seems rather off the rocker to have waited 10 years to off some one else. As crazy as he is and as crazy as Deidara is (in a just sort of...teen angst-y way) Sasori seems strangely calm...

I love the splitting of Sasori and Hiruko, be it in this or any other fic. Hiruko was, obviously, once a seperate person who Sasori then killed and transformed into his art, so it's not all that strange a concept.

Personally, I like the idea of Sasori pulling the strings but I think that's because it goes against Shikaku's idea. I love to see the protagonist's of stories getting things wrong and then having to think on their feet.

Well, now it's very obvious whom Sasori's partner (ex-partner?) is. What isn't quite so clear is his motives and how he found out about Deidara in the first place. Did he and Sasori talk about the boy?

Oh, and Sasori does not appear insane, in anyway. I was actually thinking about how in-control he seemed when talking to Hiruko at the end. A good contrast to the confused, mad and twisted thoughts at the beginning of this chapter.

Anothr lovely chapter!

Yes, Hiruko was a very unexpected character to bring out, but it was not unusual at all, since they were apart once long ago. The gore and insantiy was very lovely too. And I certainly did enjoy seeing the almost exact opposites of the 'partners', one being abrupt, insane, and very vengeful, while Sasori seemed cold, calculating and very intellegent.

ahh nice to see the new chapter! now let me hope my review actually all goes through this time

Shikaku's character remindes me of a combination of Jim Gorden from year one and The Dark Knight returns with a splash of Light Yagami in there. A Law man thats very smart that takes both his job seriously and his family seriously but when push comes to shove he takes his family any day over 'world justice'

But as soon as i heard the words partner i immediately though of the dread pirate Roberts! A seemingly immortal man...but in truth its due to some one taking up the mantel. Sasori aint a man! he's a idea! And is that why Deidara has been marked...to become the new Sasori...

That still begs the question of the last two murders that are...more then 10 years apart. These Woman where not artist, there only connection is to Deidara. Or is 'Sasori' not so much a artist killer as a 'artist that is a killer'?

A master of disguise that gets close to his victims over years? would that mean there is a possibility of Misses Yamanaka knew the 'killer'...that is assuming it was 'Sasori'...that is assuming 'Sasori' is even one person. *sigh* thats alot of assumptions...

I'm confused slightly, but in a good way. I've got all these theories buzzing about in my head and I can't wait to see if any of them are even half correct!

I like the character you've developed for Shikaku, not glorifying him into some amazing, crime-busting detective but still showing that he's good at what he does. I can see some of the Death Note influences, I think.

I liked the conversations in this chapter. As I've mentioned before, I sometimes find paragraphs of inner monologues/descriptions of a characters thoughts difficult and tiresome to read so I'm glad there was more character interation here.

Although I must say, reading about crazy Deidara and much gore is far more interesting!

I really love this! I love mysteries, horror, gore and the rest. Detectie stories are my favourite things, and this is really, truly a great story to read. I enjoy every minute of it, especially that calculating side. It's a lovely mix.

Now, i understand what you were saying to me. About the women, it was...creepy, and "gorish" (is that a word?). And when you mention a spoon i was like...Hell yeah! XD But in the same time, it was...undescriptable.

I...absolutly don't know what is gonna happend next...and thats SO cool! XD I love the incertitude that you cause.
