I like the way you are setting things up. Sarah getting pulled in that way, meeting Hoggle. Intregue - the goblin king is mad (more so than usual?!?!)!
A just who is that queen getting squished by the labyrinth's expansion?
And i will be very interested to find out what was in that letter.
And I wonder how much the title of your story will play into it.

What a lovely story. I love the descriptions you use and the delicate magic you seem to infuse into your writing. The world you have created-- mirror sidhe-- seems so original. Unfortunately I was worried because the first chapter seemed so stereotypical, Sarah with animals getting the token letter/call from Toby, on her own. But it seems to be going in a nice direction. e
