If I recall, Professor Gast's daughter was Aeris. Hojo claims fatherhood of Sephiroth, causing Vincent to lose it if he's in the party when you confront him.

I like the tone of the writing and the fact you seemed to have given some though to Vincent's childhood. THough I disagree about the ranking system.

The biggest question came to mind, what happened to Professor Gast? I though he was the head of the project, it was his "baby" and that Lucrecia was his assistant and not Hojos.

Wellsian eh? I could believe it. This fic shows a refreshing contrast from others, as Vincent isn't exactly in a state of abject pining. In fact, he's downright manly, which is a treat. This is really the bauble of the horror genre here.

Yes, Vincent is revealed as a Turk if you read Hojo's abandoned letter in Shinra Mansion before getting him. It describes the meddling Turk who's locked up in the basement. As there's only one person to be found that matches the rest of the description, it's Vincent who's the meddling Turk.

And yes, towards the end when you find out who has been controlling Cait Sith, it's Reeve. ;)
