Wonderfully in character! For not having any huge event going on and relying on observation and thought, this is a great piece. And you don't hit us over the head with it. Thought provoking. I really enjoyed it.

Wow, this is fantastic! Your characterizations are absolutely wonderful. I've read very few fics with such insight into Raphael's mind, heart and soul. Incredible work.

Haha, your 'dedication' sounds suspiciously like an accusation!! But I'll take it. Welcome to the Dark Side, wahahaha!

What I like best about this piece is how it starts and ends in vastly different places--you start us out with a lighthearted and cliche encounter, and then turn it around to a revealing and somehow melancholy look into the characters' relationships. There is so much going on "behind the scenes", that in spite of the fairly simple style, it is nonetheless quite deep. Good show, and a pleasure to read as always!

Yowzers, a story by Donny's Boy.

Well, as always, your characterizations are spot-on perfect. Seriously, it even surpasses E&L's. I'm just blown away.

And is this a multi-chaptered effort? I sure hope so, because 'I like' very much!

BTW, you have a repeated sentence from the first part, located near the end of Raphael's encounter with the woman. Here it is, complete with the sentence that comes before it - - -

“You’re hurt.” It wasn’t a question. He reached out to take her elbow, to steady her, and she let him. “Let’s get you topside and to a hospital.”

he thought, smiling grimly, as he ran full-tilt down the tunnels, but can't take the armor outta the turtle.

Just the same, it does little to water down this gem of a story. Loved it!
