While the 'twist' was not unexpected, it was a good story. All the events where logical and actually it was rather nice to see this told from Holmes Point of view.

I think I may be slightly in love with your Mycroft. I absolutely adore the idea of him and Watson (who is still my favorite, always) collaborating over anything, but especially something like this.

I wasn't quite sure what was going on with this one when it started - I knew that Watson knew more than he was saying, but I had no idea that it was as involved as it was. And of course Mycroft uses his influence to keep his little brother out of trouble. Seriously, if he wasn't an imaginary loner living in Victorian London, I'd have proposed to him by now.

Sorry to admit it, but I did suspect Watson plotting out this case (the title gave it away, as did the fact that your friends had lifted you from your own dismal mood). I don't pretend to be as great of a deductor as Mr. Holmes, but I think when one thinks on the facts...

However, it was brilliantly done, especially adding Mycroft like that. Wonderful.
