Designation 7/17/04 . chapter 1Oh, that was so sad... I just watched Proof of Purchase the other day, so this was a welcome piece and it was written very well.
I love how Logan says how he wanted something for him; for them. It was a great moment in a great fic.
The story brings back all the old feelings - I just wish it didn't have to be so hard for them, and that they could get their moment together.
Excellent, emotional, wonderful. |
 khckgfhkewfh 4/14/03 . chapter 1good story |
gilenagile 4/16/02 . chapter 1Loved the attention to detail and the ways you showed the emotional distance building between them: Max "perched on the back of the sofa...," Logan snapping on the brakes of his chair, and his refusal to take the tech's papers from her. Very touching. |
pari106 1/24/02 . chapter 1Interesting. This is one of those moments I really wanted to see fleshed out. It was frustrating at the end of that ep when Max was hanging out with Joshua and I kept thinking "Go talk to Logan already!" I'm not sure I can see Logan actually telling Max he'd rather her have let someone die just so they can be together... He really is too noble all the time for that. But I can definitely see him angry and hurt. And I imagine he did have those suspicions about the doctor getting away. Max has managed to strong arm bad guys into cooperating before. But she let that doctor waltz out the door no problem. If I were Logan I would wonder, too, what that meant. Anyhow, this is good. Have I asked you yet to write more Logan/Asha? ;P Maybe a little follow-up to this one, where Asha shows up out of the blue and Logan needs a friend and so on... :D (Okay I'll shut up now) ;) Good work! |
Priorities 11/15/01 . chapter 1 Well written. Not what I wanted.
I wanted: An argument, yes. Anger from Logan, or desperation, yes. A turned back, no good-bye, an order to go, not really.
Max crying, yes. Self-defensive, not really. More expressive of her feelings for Logan, yes.
I hope this isn't where you intended to leave it. Doesn't Max go back in after she exhausted herself from crying? When the first wave of the anger and frustration in both of them is spent? Doesn't Max open up and let some of her yearning for Logan be expressed? After all, she spent a good bit of the first season wishing he'd speak up. Seems to be that she be more ...
Well, whatever ? More, please. (Ginny) |
Sister Moon 11/12/01 . chapter 1 Logan's anger and sadness are really touching, and you've shown Max's ambivalence nicely. Love the observation about Logan's body language. Thanks. |
Libazeth 11/11/01 . chapter 1ohhhh, continue. please. a shippery sequel with Sebastion solving the virus would be good. Just a sugestion- consiter it. Anyway, this is really good. I like it, I really do. |
Star24 11/11/01 . chapter 1 Thanks cath for writing this scene for us - I think they should have given us something of this in the show but oh well...
Like Kyre I think Logan would understand and forgive Max but I also think his initial reaction could very well be anger and disappointment. The understanding and forgivenesss would come after.
I also wondered about Max's possible mixed reactions to what Logan wants now - good job getting that across. |
Downbeat 11/11/01 . chapter 1 That was a real fight for them. Unlike anything that I've felt they've had before on the show. It establishes placement for each of them and while I'm not happy that Max isn't on the same level as Logan is, it's treating her character honestly still. An unsolicited opinion is that this story doesn't need any more. |
Kyre 11/10/01 . chapter 1Wow. Thanks for giving us this scene. I still maintain that Logan would have completely understood the need to save a life, but you do a great job showing us how badly he wants to be with Max. |
Carolyn8 11/9/01 . chapter 1Ah Catherder, the conversation we never heard! I'm glad someone tackled this. I too believe that Logan would be angry and hurt. That ep just left too much unanswered. As painful as your fic was, it would seem probable that events could unfold just this way. Painful, but well done! |
