That was written beautifully. Though, sadly, I remember reading somewhere on a Little House forum that while Rose would write candidly about her sex life, her mother probably didn't. (I still pretend that their love life was fantastic and dreamlike.)

That was so sweet. Though I can't help but think that Eliza complaining about her sparked an interest as well. I'm just imagining him leaning in his chair and thinking "Well, she's sounds very intelligent, is the daughter of an honest man in town, /and/ challenges my sister! I should take her for a ride!"

I just squeed. Lieral "e!" as I read that. I always read Little Town and These Happy Golden Years when I'm feeling down because they are such a sweet couple. (And I'm glad this is based on the books, not the tv show. I never saw the series, so I'm usually confused when I see the summaries for those.)

Wonderful chapter! I love how Almanzo reacts to Laura's pregnancy. Okay, for the episode name... It was the episode where Almanzo was wiping a saloon girl he spilled water on by accident, and Laura was driving by and saw. I think it was the episode called "He Loves Me" . Happy New Year!

I haven't read the Golden Years yet, but now I want to read it. I love to think of Almanzo or Laura jealous. It shows how much they care for each other, as long as they aren't constantly jealous. Too much jealousy is unhealthy.
