Okay, so I skipped reviewing many, many chapters, but that was mostly because I wanted to sum up here. I still think that the story would be just as credible as a complete original, and it is a testament to your skill with characters that I feel much friendlier than previous towards all of the Weiss guys (particularly Omi). I think your research was insane and excellent, your original characters utterly professional in their solidity, and your plot the stuff of readers' dreams. I especially like Kit, as he is one of those rare instances in ficdom wherein people over thirty are given stage time, and also a marvelous character in himself. You avoided gratuity and perversion in a way so few of us attempt, and should. Thank you also for showing only one of the villains to be scum through and through, and that Ran could, after all, have been like Crawford. An excellent piece of work, which I wish I had known earlier, that I could have followed its progress. Congratulations on a story that leaves me with as much good feeling as any really good book.

God, what a marvelous story! I've put off reading this for the longest time, but I'm so glad that I finally decided reading this story sooner. Beautifully written with a plot that is tied well together. I'm impress with the historical touches in the story, you've must have done some research! Hope to read more of your work.

Wow. First of all let me say that I am sorry that I did not leave a comment for every chapter, simply becouse I could not stop reading this story long enough to do so. I just saw your name and remembered somthing I liked that you had written and opened up this amazing novel. Amazing, becouse I absolutly could not stop reading and I'm sure that if FF.net had a bandwidth problem it was becouse of me. It took me all day but I simply could not stop. ( Don't worry, I DID stop to feed the kids) I sincerly appreciate all the work and research you have put into this piece. From that aspect, this was much more put together than the last few published novels I've read. Very well thought out indeed. Youre style rivals my favorite authors ( Actually, I think you've inched out a few of them with this) I love what you've done with these charecters. They have depth. My heart is with each one of them ( Ok, exept maybe Crawford, I never did like him but thats just a personal thing I guess) Ran NEEDS Ken. Youji NEEDS Omi, though I dont think he really knows it yet. These are by far my very favorite pairings and I hope to see a little glimps inside the past of Youji and Omi. I realize that this was a mainly Ran and Ken fic, but the way you've written these charecters they are BEGGING to be expounded upon. You write them so well (ALL of them) You have an absolutly beautiful work of art here and I really do hope to read more.

Ah, afterword. Well, this is probably one of the best in WK! Simply and utterly stunning. It's a beautiful piece fo work. May you keep writing as well as you do till you're old and wrinkled. _

Why, I want to know why Nikolai would save Ken just to capture him again. Isn't it bad enough to have Crawford on his tail?
