Wonderful! I've missed this story, and only saw it had been updated a couple of times when I checked in on a whim a few days a go. I can totally understand Violet's confusion over the 'other' Chi, because I didn't fully understand it either, but I still find every bit of info we get on Chi's background fascinating. I really like the idea of Chi as some sort of minor super. Loved the expansion on Violet's powers as well. I see so many possibilities for Violet's powers that the movie makers didn't take advantage of, so I like that she has an offensive role rather than just a defensive role. If the next chapter really is the last, I can't wait to see how this ends!

Every now and then I come across a piece of art or fanfiction or what have you that moves me in such a way that I feel compelled to express my gratitude to the creator of whatever it was that moved me. As one of the two people who are in a way responsible for my little obsession with the pairing of Violet and Mirage I wish to thank you A. Markov. As of late it feels as though there is a great deal of turbulence in my life, but this pairing and most certainly your stories have given me something to smile to, to look forward to, to cry to, and to draw to. I joined for two reasons to hopefully add what I can to this beautiful pairing and to thank you.
I hope you read this soon so you know how much your wonderful stories have affected me and once again thank you A. Markov for giving me a reason to smile and draw again. I would also like to say Chi’s and Violet’s interactions where beautifully romantic in this chapter.

Other than that, though, this was a really interesting chapter! I've got high expectations for the next one now!

Alright, I think my favorite part of this chapter was the reference to DEBS and violet's skepticism towards her story of almost blowing up australia xD I love this story 3

what!? everybody dies? thats the cliff teaser we're left with? oh man I'm gonna go out of my mind trying to come up with all the possible scenarios that could lead to that.
but I was pretty happy about the little mira liking voilet enough to dream about protecting her

I found Vanishing Love and Out of Sight, Out of Mind last year and have been reading avidly. I somehow missed five chapter updates in that time, but it meant that there was a lot of new material when I read them this time. It had been so long since I read them that I re-read both stories. It was great! It took me about six and a half hours, though. SOOO worth it :) I love how your stories are so well written. There are no spelling or grammar mistakes (that I can find, anyway) and the vocabulary is mature. The story flows very well, too. I used to get annoyed that it would cut away from Violet and Mirage, but now the other stories are so interesting that I want to read them all. I'm excited to find out what happens with Rick, Mirage, and Kari. I also love how your story fits so well with the movie. I'm interested to see if you'll explain what made Mirage wake up on the island. Or maybe that doesn't need explaining. It's been long enough since I've seen the movie that I don't remember how well it was explained there. Anyway, I just wanted to say you're doing a fabulous job and I hope you can get the next update up soon!

Oh yes, now I remember where we were at when you dropped the bomb. The horrible evils. I did immediately recognize the story but I didn't instantly remember where you were at. Now that I have reread that last bit I am actually a bit nervous to start reading this chapter, but here I go…

Okay… well that is better? Than it could have been. Still a very messed up and mixed up Chi, but so much better than where I was afraid it would go. And yes, it did take her a while to get through to Vi what was really going on.

Heh, gotta love super hero familys. Giant robots destroying downtown again. It is nice to see that Dicker picked well with Joe, and that someone at least realized just how wrong Syndrome's memory machinery is, even if they failed to remove it in time. If you were to write a continuation even further those shredded notes are a wonderful little easter egg that could be used, along with a half reformatted hard drive.

I just wonder what the next move of the evil government organization is going to be. Too bad they used whatever inferior method of brainwashing on Chi before the Buddy system had been created. Looks like they are reaping what they sow. Always a good litterary device for evil in the super hero paradigm.

Have to say that I love you right now. Kari...pardon, Syndrome's escaped and things are starting to move. Can't wait to see what you've got in store for us next :)

Yay for the update, and to leave it with eminent doom looming over their heads, awesome. I will glady wait another year for an update but here's to hoping its less. Love it and can not wait for more.

So...looking forward to reading the next chapter next March? :P

You have to respect violet for not freaking out completely and immediately about chi. I imagine listening to someone try to stumble through that explanation would be confusing and terrifying. I loved the last part, a bit of humour in an otherwise serious chapter. Great work as always.

Either I missed the explanation for the blindness when I looked at the beta version, or it was added later. I liked it. (You may have had it in an earlier story, but, uh, it's sometimes a little while between your chapters and I forgot.) I still not sure with the one scene from two perspectives. I know what's happening now and followed it without problem this time. I'm wondering if some readers seeing it for the first time might feel confused. The wonderful things I said about depth of character and dramatic tension still hold true. If you want to update a little faster for the next chapter I won't mind at all. (I'm really wanting to see what happens with Keri.)
