swimgirlrox1 2009-04-24 . chapter 1I tottaly agree with you. I love reading maximum ride and all and having wings would be cool but it is really sick to think about it. so yea I agree with you. |
Stacey the FLE 2008-10-17 . chapter 1This is really long sorry, you don't have to read it.
I agree with you completely even attempting to give people wings will no doubt lead to horible deformity, and pain for the subject. It's inhuman to even attempt whether you are a Christian--and I am--believe in a god or not. God does design us to be the way he intends. We are his beautiful masterpeices. Though I doubt that God would allow such a thing to happen to his creations as he is always with us--especially the weak--I suppose it's within the realm of possibity. It wouldn't be the first time corrupt scientist--And I'm not against science I'm not nieve God created science, another one of his masterpeices--tried to play God. Just look at abortion, plastic surgery, and gender reassassignment. If this becomes a real thing then any true follower of the Lord should know enough to leave it be. If you try to change the way God made you to look, it's like saying to him that you don't think he did a good job, he made a mistake, and you know how you're supposed to look. I've never been the most attractive girl, but I love the way I look and love my heavenly Father for making me with such care.
I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I love my religion, and it's fun to get passionate about it. Also I commend you for being respectfull in spite of your outrage by warning the easily offened and not senslessly ranting, it's true sign that you're a strong Christian, being able to control your anger. You can't shine a light for the Lord when all you can do is spew hate. :) |
firefly63 2008-09-30 . chapter 1Yeah, I agree. You have to draw a line when people start messing around with what God is supposed to be doing. |
Jen 2008-09-06 . chapter 1 Don't ever apologize for your faith. It is yours and no one has any right to be offended by something that you personally believe. That's what rocks about freedom of relgion. God bless. |
FireHawk43 2008-09-05 . chapter 1As much as I would love to have wings, I completely agree with you. God made us and saw what he did was good. Who are we to change it? |
 loveNhaterevolution 2008-08-28 . chapter 1i agree whole heartedly |
featherfall 2008-08-22 . chapter 1 Oh, I forgot to say. Have you heard about the robot with a rat brain? Do a search online; in fact, here's a link/web adress thingy. /technology/080814-robot-brain.html
Bye. |
Sarcastically. Sunshine 2008-08-22 . chapter 1Yeah, I agree that this is pretty wrong, that it may even lead to the sort of stuff described in the Maximum Ride books. But people are not being given bird wings, or animal tails, from what I understand. It's more like extreme plastic surgery. The "wings" would be, like, some of a person's ribs repositioned and then their skin stretched over the "wings". No feathers, flight, or bird DNA. Same idea with the "tails".
But still. I'm rather against this, not for any real spiritual reason, but the fact that we're already using animals, including chimps and monkeys, for testing. That's plenty bad, but what if humans/sentient creatures are next?
Bye. |
 Skye Maxwell 2008-08-22 . chapter 1I'm a Christian.
I enjoy Maximum Ride and Harry Potter.
But they are just stories.
Stories people like because they are so far out there; imaginary.
They should never become reality.
I understand you.
Science has gone too far, and it's sad.
Terrible, really. |
laddie girl 2008-08-22 . chapter 1I think it's just really weird. if there are people who want to do this to themselves, let them. They'll be in the news for a day or 4, then no one will care. |
Aimee 2008-08-22 . chapter 1 I agree with you - why people want to mess with what God created I don't understand. I believe though that if God does not want something to work it won't. Look at cloning - they cloned a sheep and its DNA started to break down and it aged too fast. it died after like 2 years riddled with cancer and disease. Even if they try, I don't think God will allow humans to alter DNA or graft in parts of animals to make us fly or whatever. It'll never work the way they want to. |
silent rebel wings 2008-08-22 . chapter 1I read this article! I was freaking out when I read this! Yea I would kill for wings but some of the stuff they do it just insane! It would be like the Maximum ride books and I would'nt get wings at the expense of sitting in a dog cage for experiments. |
nathan-p 2008-08-22 . chapter 1So, uh, who are you to tell me what I want to do with my body?
...and in addition, just get a blag or an LJ instead of misusing . |
.All.The.Pretty.Corpses. 2008-08-22 . chapter 1OMG, I'm not Christian (or anything, I'm just me) but I get what your saying! I find it sick! What are they doing to find out this crap, testing on animals... or even humans? That's just low man. Low.
But I've always dreamed of having wings and being able to fly! But... it wouldn't be the same with everyone knowing about it!! :D I wanna live a life like Max, even if I sound like a little kid saying that. Technically I am a little kid. Eleven is young right? |
