Wow... I'm blinking right now, trying to hold back the tears. I listened to the Arsonists' Waltz as I read this and I guess it set the perfect mood. There was so much emotion packed in this and it's so short. What is your secret?

This has GOT to be one of the DARKEST things I've EVER read o.o ...But I liked it ^_^ So Professor Oak and Delilah killed them because they loved each other? That is screwed up on SO many levels. But so very, very intriguing... Ash and Gary's defiance is admirable, and the way they died was bittersweet ^_^ I really liked this fic, and great job on such a dark piece. Such a rare read indeed ^_^

It's like an oasis in a vast desert (or some other simile).
I'm not sure what I love the most: the narration, the pacing, the way that you described the fire (and how the fire can be used as a metaphor for the dead boys...their rage, their defiance...).
