Maria656 9/20/08 . chapter 1Nice snippet, very well written - wish there was more [minor error: hopes were thwarted, not was] |
Aurora2424 8/28/08 . chapter 1This is beautifully written; thank you so much for sharing. How I wish you'd spin this into a larger fiction! :-) |
Brian2008 8/27/08 . chapter 1I thought the use of an anonymous narrator to tell the story was very interesting. |
Mari83 8/25/08 . chapter 1You write such an amazing angsty Max in Terminal City and I love the outside perspective, catching the weakness she tries to hide. Also really like the development from scepticism to admiration and again to disappointment and resignation (and don’t know, perhaps a bit of the initial glee too?). "Max, who would huddle close to the ordinary, poring over paperwork as night turned to day, working out equations and protein strands, conversing in hopeful whispers to the man she had given her heart to. Max, who would grasp his latex gloved hands tightly" The scenes with Logan have such a vulnerability and hopelessness, both beautiful and sad. |
annie200 8/24/08 . chapter 1 This was so desolate, but beautifully written. |
shywr1ter 8/24/08 . chapter 1Aw... you made me teary! You can just feel Max's heartbreak. It's so much more powerful as seen though these outside eyes, and so much more powerful when compared to how tough, gritty and persevering she has been though this siege. Oh, so sad! (and so isn't it time for the Deux ex Machina to lower into the scene and magically fix the virus? Doesn't she *deserve* it?) Thanks for the fic break amid boring RL work... :* |
