Well, it was very much worth the wait. I loved it.

Spumi to the rescue! Great last few chapters. Steed and Emma should bring him along more often, provided they have a vial of the smart drug on them (and that Spumi doesn't fall into the life of an addict! ;-) ). Perhaps that duck at the end could be the next diabolical mastermind?

I just knew Emma was going to be a prime subject for the array. Things look grim for our heroes, but I notice Spumi's managed to escape...

You know, this was maybe a simple transitional chapter, but the dialogue, the described behavior of Peel and Steed, Spumi, and Dr. Cephalus interview were just a perfect pitch with an episode of the Avengers, and indeed the best Clemens written ones. Outstanding job!!

Well Cephalus is the obvious villain, but the question is, do you go in for obvious villains?

I do love the way you write the Avengers. I'm old enough to remember when ABC broadcast episodes of it back in the sixties, and I've loved the series ever since. You certainly do them justice.

Oh, this looks like it's going to be fun. Even though I'm not an X-Files fan, I think I'm catching all the references. And Spumi's back! Perhaps he'll come in handy as Steed and Emma search for the giant slide rule (ha!). Lovely dialogue bits in this one.
