i completely agree with severus.

I think this was a good idea, but it seems more... Lily... than Snape. I always found his humor subtler, snarkier. Still, quite good.

I really enjoyed this. Severus is one of my favorite characters, and I love reading about James from his point-of-view.

Yup, that's a fair summation of James. He was supposed to be academically bright, mind you, but he was nasty and exceptionally shallow. Yes, he saved Severus's life, but that meant so little to him that he went right on tormenting him - he may even have saved him in order still to have him available to torment.

He might well have turned into a wife beater, if he'd lived. After all, we see him threaten Lily with violence for protecting her friend ("Don't make me hex you").

I must say I'm shocked that noone has reviewed this fabulous one-shot yet, but I'll start things off by saying that I love it. I love your use of language, I think you represented Snape very well, and have allowed the reader to sympathise with his views.
