A little gameplay error: Esuna takes care of any status effects also curable by items (Toad included) and Dispel removes good and bad effects not curable with items, in the traditional sense (Float included). Neither would remove the other's effects, meaning Toad could be cured without removing Float. You could reason out that Rydia's costs less MP or that Rosa doesn't have enough MP, those are only thoughts that come to mind and I bet there are many ways to make it work.

Ignoring that, I LOVED it. The characters felt very right, and it ended on a great and amusing note. I hope my paragraph up there doesn't end up putting you off, because it would be a shame not to see more from you.
