SystemAurora 2009-10-09 . chapter 1that was... epic. Thank you. I, too, foamed at the mouth over that scene (though maybe for different reasons) and it was awesome to read your account of it. Also, "Do breasts count as weapons?" Hahaha! Aweswome. |
 OveractiveImaginer 2009-04-02 . chapter 1Wow! This stuff's incredible! Seriously!
I mean, you REALLY got Natla's character (and that of her goons) in a nutshell! The whole gimme gimme and respect thing were very well balanced and you even added little things like why Larson would be the first person to stop Lara.
Also the history aspect was a nice touch, explaining the reason behind her attraction to raw power. Every single thought process really felt like we were in her head!
Really well written! |
Ostercy 2008-08-28 . chapter 1I got the impression that this was the TR Anniversary version of Natla ("Continuity Two" as Wikipedia calls it). It's interesting to try and work out why Natla ordered Lara killed. I wasn't sure reading the story what made Natla behave the way she did, especially back in Atlantis. Is she a mindless psychopath, or, for example, did she have a reason for attacking her brother? Also I wondered reading your notes at the end - why would Natla be scared of entering the tombs of her brothers?
As for the writing, it was good, if a little purple in places for my taste. I read the previous story where Natla hires the Kid. Natla having to tell the Kid not to molest Lara (effectively having to micromanage him) suggests that the Kid isn't that bright or street-smart, which made me wonder why on earth Natla hired him in the first place. She's rich and powerful enough to hire good help. I'm guessing that she's too insane to have any common sense. That's certainly true to the TRA game story, but I find that version of Natla a bit hard to understand as well :) You certainly captured TRA Natla, and explained why she became immortal. Now all someone needs to explain is how she shape-shifts :)
Hope that was constructive :) |
