Aloony 2009-10-14 . chapter 2Terribly tragic. I can completely see L locking Light away for throwing the game, for ruining it. Because Light broke the rules first, by confessing, L broke them last, by not killing him. Such a warped pair. Writing Kira and Light's thoughts as separate was a particularly nice touch and...Ryuk, hurting/comforting Kira and running his claws through his hair. Wow. I've never read anything by ANY other author that delves into Ryuk's personality as much as you do in a few sentences. It truly brings him and his relationship with Kira to a whole new level. (I'm serious, I really love how you write him.)
Ah, in general, I adore your writing. I'm hesitant to ask but since there's no harm in it (I think), would you ever consider writing L's point of view? I loved reading what Soichiro thought of the whole thing, it was so heartbreaking, but, in this case, he really is a side character. L is the other King in this story, the other monster, and I'm pretty much dying to know what his reaction/thoughts were as Light confessed and afterward, in the the cell. (I mean, you even wrote that they were puzzle pieces! They need to fit together in this story too! xD) Pretty please? Anyway, even if you don't write more, thank you for this. |
 firedraygon 2009-08-18 . chapter 2You have me tearing up all over the place at work. ;_;
Damn, L's a sore winner. I really like how Ryuk's there for Light without being all, y'know, chummy and whatnot. Great characterization. I can totally see this happening if Light had confessed in canon, because L's a bastard like that. Please write more soon!

 StormWolf91 2009-05-07 . chapter 1This is brilliant... |
Anime-StarWars-fan-zach 2009-04-26 . chapter 2This was really good. I do wonder how Light got caught, though. |
Scourge of Amaranth 2009-03-28 . chapter 1I suppose, after having reread a great number of your pieces... more times than I generally reread (read: at least once), and having offered perhaps... three reviews... at most... I should drop another one. For some rather unfathomable reason, I feel guilty for reviewing your pieces. Not sure why. They just feel like they shouldn't be touched, in some weird way.
Anyway.
Your writing is... beyond phenomenal. I can list the number of authors whose writing has left impressions the size of yours on... a little over half of a hand. I'm left aghast at the insight and intuition you manage to work into so many of your works, and beyond the emotions, which generally turn out to be horrifyingly haunting and stomach-wrenching in their intensity, the style and diction itself is... really, really powerful. And then there are the humorous pieces, which make my ribs hurt. I'm probably going to end up permanently harming myself while reading one of your pieces.
Another anyway. Amazing writing. It's quite admirable. I find myself feeling quite jealous.
The particular facet of Alternative that really grabbed me was the Ryuk/Light interaction. It's unbelievable, how intense and realistic it is. And then the rambles on strychnine... wow. Gotta love abstractions.
Lovely piece you have here.

magdilen 2009-01-05 . chapter 1That was very interesting, in an odd way. |
Barranca 2009-01-02 . chapter 2I like your what if scenarios, they are contemplative and look at the characters from a distance. Did L think that it made him better than Light, to not kill the latter? Indeed, Light stole his victory. |
 L'uke-chan 2008-12-10 . chapter 2Stalemate.
...wow.. Awesome fic. The end of Light was horrifying? ..amusing? True?.. Yeah, true. So very true.. Love this. Incredible fic... Ha. Genius is truly a curse. But it's great that L and Light were equals.. it would have been boring if they were not. Utterly boring.
Brilliant fic. |
Computerfreak101 2008-11-12 . chapter 2Have I told you how amazing you are? 'Cause, you are. AMAZING.
One, I love you for doing this second bit in Soichiro's POV. They don't do that nearly enough in this fandom, let alone handle it as well as you did. And I loved Sachiko's reasoning for it.
And the Light/Ryuuk scenes - it's a point I repeat and will keep repeating after I read your stuff, but you write the interactions with them BEAUTIFULLY, and Ryuuk running his fingers through Light's hair is just a VERY happy image for me. ^_^ You write their bond, their connection in a twisted, beautiful way, and I'd almost beg you to write them romantically one day (since RyuukxLight is kinda my guilty DN otp) but that'd just cheapen it. Either way, this fic was beautiful, beautiful and haunting.

fantasies4eva 2008-11-08 . chapter 2utterly amazing. it's sad that light had to give up but it's just so much like light if your alternative ending had happened. soichiro is really in character as well and I love the line he says about genius - "If that is genius, Soichiro thinks, he is glad to be nothing special". Anywayz, great work - i adore your writing style |
Killingmemory 2008-10-29 . chapter 1I believe I've mentioned how much I love you. Is this piece finished? |
 xiamei 2008-10-19 . chapter 2Wow. Just... wow. |
 kaesaku 2008-09-26 . chapter 2oh, wow.
i can´t think of any words to describe this.
brilliant, perhaps?
i´m not into angst and everything else that will remotely hint depressing, but this, got me going.
surprisingly moving.. |
 KaiSea 2008-09-21 . chapter 1Thats . . . a little confusing but I really loved it, but I didn't think L would be that cruel.
Also is there a prequel to this? have I missed something?
The way I interpret it, Light gave himself up in the hopes that L would help him, and he didn't.
Is that right? |
 TechnoRanma 2008-09-20 . chapter 2Exquisite writing... LOVED it |
