I hate to rain on your parade, but a person's memories make up who they are. A person's personality is molded by their experiences. Erasing Cole's memories and then sticking him with all of Christian's memories is essentially killing the person Cole was and turning him into the same person Christian Troy was. Unless you have Christian 2.0 start immediately remembering things that never happened to him then Cole might as well be well and truly dead.

This was such a cool idea. Very nice way to integrate Cole into Christian's life. You seem to have a good grasp on everyone's character.

This could perhaps inspire another one-shot down the road, or even a continuation-what would happen if Cole/Christian (Chole?) would have something powerful to re-open his past happen to him? Just a thought. This stands alone well, though, so it's purely up to your imagination.
