Ah, I read this at your site and loved it then. I must confess, (as I've mentioned in my other review) I'm not much of a Slasher fan, though I do love Giles. Still, this fic kinda convinced me and I did think the relationship you set her was fantastic and entirely IC!
The way you got the relationship, the personalties was truely artful, this story could well have fallen into ill written angst or smutty scenes in the hands of a lesser writer, in yours it is a moving depiction of a relationship over and the actions of two similr yet very, very different men. I mean, I can just pictue each person reacting as they would. Awsome. I've read very, very little Buffy fanfic, so I can't really say this is the best I've read and have it mean much, but this is certainly one of your best fics, IMO. The ending, the three little words was a real punchiline. I mean, I guessed that's what the title was referring to, but the way you did it, eluding to the fact all Giles had to do to escape was say those three words but he wouldn't because... yeah, well, you know what you meant. Anyway, that was truely awsome. I kid you not when I say it's got to be one of the best ending lines in a Fanfic I've ever heard. Congratulations, this is a masterpeace!
