Great poem; you really stuck to the Japanese-style poetry, which enhaces it's beauty. I love how you took us from terrified for little Inu-kun's safety, to happy and proud of his new abilities.

This poem was a lovely read. I love how, in the telling of one brief moment, you were able to reveal so much about their lives at the palace. Truly a great work.

InuYasha's not a normal toddler. I liked this poem because it wasn't so dark and depressing - it didn't show what life would become for them, but rather, remembered a somewhat happier moment.

POWERFUL. That's the only word I can use to describe this. The title was also magical as the phoenix is my favorite being from mythology.
