I really like this tale. I like Dounia. I love those little present moments with Lina and Zel. You're such a great writer and I look forward to your updates. This is going in my favorites.

O! This is a good story. Hm. Carthak sounds familiar. Like in the kingdom of Tortall. But that could just be me. I really like this story though, and I like that Lina and Zel get to share this moment...

That's sad and kind of cute and it's almost sweet that he's only telling it to Lina but I won't go into that...SO anyway.

I must say, my favorite part was when Zel got all angry and intimidating - it feels like an echo of the present.

Was there anything confusing that I should explain better?

It would be nice to see some examples of the horrors Zelgadis has seen in only a few months of chimera-ism x.X okay, it doesn't really have to be anything drastic, but I think there should be some remembrance of villagers with pitchforks or something, just as a basis for comparison.

Does the story give an impression that there’s some sort of romantic relationship between Zelgadis and Juliana? To be honest, this story is Lina/Zel orientated, and I have no intention of changing that.

I don't know, not really. I had the strange sensation that Zel was going to say that she was his younger sister in the first chapter or something - obviously, he was uncomfortable with her glomping him. It would be nice for there to be more L/Z shippage scenes, just to cement it, y'know? I understand that we're not exactly too far into the story yet, but I think it would help if sometime Lina interrupts his flashback - not very often, because that would be distracting, but just once or so - to remind us (the readers) that this is the past and to link it with the now.

I would also like to see the chapters come out faster. _

Very nice story indeed! I am going to have to check back in my TRY collection and see that episode once more! (When you say brief, you must mean incredibly so.) I'm very interested in how you've characterized Zelgadiss in this fic. You've made him somewhat easier to approach while he was younger. (Which is entirely possible) In response to someone mentioning he would NEVER share his most private thoughts with Lina, I think Lina is the ONLY person Zel would confide in enough to even THINK about revealing such a memory. Lina is one of the few people that treats Zel as an equal and vice versa. (That's one of the main reason they go so well together, they know how to appreciate one another! I'm a Lina/Zel fan, so sue me..) Keep up the good work and I hope to see another chapter soon!
