Nice connection. I've always thought that Jack's request in Abyss must have been torturous for Daniel. And you show that well by pairing it with what happened in Small Victories. I like the way you wrote Jack coming to check on Daniel and realizing how upset he was. It was nice and comforting without being too over-the-top.

And the last two lines are terrific. So Daniel. He can't bring himself to kill Jack, but he can't be totally confident he's making the right decision either.

Overall, a nice introspective piece.
