bellastrange51 8/1/11 . chapter 1This is the second time that I have read this story. It was good the first time, and even better the second time! However, it is really sad...which made me almost cry (that's a compliment!). I really like your dialogue and writing style too. Well done! |
revolution rae 9/5/09 . chapter 1Oh wow. This is sad, but very good. |
verity candor 3/30/09 . chapter 1Oh, that's so sad. I feel so bad for her... way to make an unsympathetic character sympathetic! |
riseofafallenangel 3/15/09 . chapter 1i really liked this
i've hardly read anything about the founders but its actually a really good idea.
plus it was well written which definatey helps ;) |
 hermoinelvsronald 12/6/08 . chapter 1thats very sad! |
FirstYear 9/22/08 . chapter 1Well crafted and spot on with the six year old.
All too often the author has them talking like babies, or an adult midget. Very well done. |
Sara Winters 9/10/08 . chapter 1Coolness. (Yes, that's a word in its proper use.) What struck me the most about this was her mother's preoccupation seemed to coincide with Helena feeling like the chaos outside was her fault. Not that one had caused the other, but the tendency young children have for blaming themselves for things out of their control and wishing they could help - even with problems they don't understand. I felt a great deal of sympathy for her, even more when someone else acted more like a mother to her than her own. Interesting look at the kind of difficulty one of the founders may have experienced with her family. |
Wotcher-Tonks 9/7/08 . chapter 1so sad! I think you captured the family dynamics very well. Her mother was probably very distant. I really liked this! |
yolapeoples 9/6/08 . chapter 1That was so sad!
And such a cool character to pick! You know, different.
This was awesome, but I really just want to give Helena a big hug right now!
