You really captured Trip. He can get in trouble with unchecked impulses but he is also really intelligent and compassionate - when he takes the time to think about things.

Your characterization of Tucker is spot on. I love the subtle referrences to the episode (like the little ear rub in decon).

What's amazing is that your characterization os so right, depite having only had the first episodes to base that characterization off of. :)

This was an incredible look at what was going on behind-the-scene during the early part of their voyage - well done!

I love the 'voice' you gave to Trip; He's exactly as I would picture him, all brash action, and then blated-reflection. T'Pol's isolation was very believable, as was the crew's reluctance to accept her 'into the fold'.

I know this was written forever ago, and I've read it before, but it's one of my favorites of early Trip and T'Pol. You nailed both characters and especially Trip perfectly and the thought process he goes through is so feasible for him.

And nothing - NOTHING - since has rendered this void or inaccurate or unlikely. That's what makes it so timeless. Beautiful!

VERY good! On a personal note, I don't think trip would have the intelligence for such high-order thinking, and Phlox told him to embrace new ideas...but that was great. Stops and makes you think about life today, doesn't it?
