SON and DAD? They call each other SON and DAD? What happened to DICK and BRUCE? Bruce calling Dick son is one thing, but Dick has- had- a dad, who, erm, passed away. I accept that he needs another father figure in his life, but calling him DAD is kinda like replacing his biologcal dad.

I liked the revised ending, the previous chapter was a nice wrap up as well, I too thought it a bit rushed but acceptable, but I am goad that you decided to write and post just one more chapter. This turned out wonderful and was a good Lesson learned story.

Very lovely alternate there

LOVED IT! I absolutely loved it. You did a great job. I like how Beast Boy and Cyborg complained about their 'soaps', Raven's 'imaginary pistol', and well...it was all just great. I'm favorite-ing this too. =^.^=

I didn't really like the engagement. I think it was forced and makes it seem that Robin almost desperately wanted to put the past behind him. As for him stabbing Slade and then shooting blanks at him, I didn't see that as closure. To me it made him look even more like Slade, redoing all the things Slade made him do in the first place except Robin was worst. Slade didn't make him kill anyone and he just did that himself because he wanted to. You left Robin a 'hero' who 'willingly’ murdered someone in cool blood.

I'm sorry but I really didn't like it. Toxic was wonderful, this fell short.

i absolutely loved toxic! i was hoping detox would be as dark, and maybe slade would get to have a second go at robin, but i guess that's why this story is called detox. this was a great healing story. very well written.

there is no way robin could be normal after what slade did to him and you translated that change in his psyche perfectly with your ending. i'm sad it's over and there isn't anymore to read. whaa.

Hm...after Toxic...you kind of expect you to prolong it, i like the unexpectedness, though. It seems like he got over it in a rush, but actually, it has been a long time...but, I think you're the first person ever to have Robin suddenly becomes unpredictable, and beats Slade's ** with it, because...so many writers have Slade as this unstoppable guy, but in the show, and comics, Robin always almost beats him, not gets his ** whooped, he almost beats Slade. I feel happy Robin actually realistically beats him in this one by shocking him.

Sorry it has teken so long to review to this, but I enjoyed the chapter, the honest reflection by Starfire forcing Robin to see that he wanted normal as a means of escape and her pushing the issue was worth the struggle, Robin loved her that was obvious but 'doing it for the right reason' that single point speaks volumes and I think you wrote a wonderful chapter. Thanks for keeping with this and as I've told many writers, 'it's not quantity, but quality' those reading would gladly wait long amounts of hours knowing that when you do post) it's with hard work and superb effort backing the post then a post just to say you updated and did on. This chapter proved it, you thought this through, convayed a great concept & emotional revelation, it was worth the wait. Thanks for updating.

I just finished reading this and Toxic. You should be happy to know that reading this has prohibited me from writing my research paper. Finding out what happened was way more important. :p
