Short story but very effective. I always felt sorry for Daniella. I guess Fiona was just very scared at that point, but I always wished she had at least tried to stop Riccardo.

Yes, maybe it was a tad short for me, but that dosen't make it less effective. I really enjoyed the amount of detail put into Daniella's thoughts. It was balanced and not overdramatic, like most POV tend to be.

I can picture Fiona reacting to this, since she seems to be a genuine type of girl.

It was short, but very good. Personally, I find it quite challenging to describe Daniella's thoughts, you did a very good job with that. I can sorta understand why Fiona didn't interfere. In a different setting, a different situation she probably would have... but locked up in Belli castle, the "accident" and death of her parents, Debilitas chasing her... she was to scared to do anyting. From what she'd already seen and experienced, you can't really blame her for wanting to stay as far away from the castle's inhabitants as she could, she just wanted to get out. What have always puzzled me however, was why Riccardo hit her in the first place, didn't he know she couldn't feel pain? If so, her indifference and disobedience must have pissed him off.

Oh...interesting. I've often wondered how things might have turned out had the characters in this game been treated differently. Especially Daniella. For some strange reason, her sad story just hit a nerve with me. I am really digging your monologues. You've certainly captured her confusion and amusement at Riccardo's impotent attacks. (Can we call it amusement if she can't feel? Hell, let's just go with it.)
