I believe I'm forming a habit with my comments. This time, I'm not going to criticize how you write because I don't like repeating myself. I am, however, going to share a tidbit of information that I have with you.

I have an alien vs. predator book that has information about aliens left without a queen. Apparently, when left alone too long, they begin to colonize. One of the drones changes gender and becomes a queen.

We probably get our information from different sources, so there might be just a little confusion.

I do believe that the style of writing in this story treads very lightly over the line in one of the Guidelines for writing, but I can't say for sure...

Other than that, very good! It's an interesting take on Xenomorphs born out in the wild without a hive, but I'm wondering about if any of yours went crazy, Ali.
