Really good story! I actually remember the title, so i think i began reading it ages ago. Your characterisation of deck is really good, and i read your other stories as well - please keep up the deck fics! *begs* otherwise where will i get my fixes... :)

Why "Dek"? It's a bad habit of mine. I'm sorry that it's annoying you.
Thing is, it is a nickname. We never see it actually spelled anywhere. "Dek" and "Deck" are pronounced exactly the same. Although "Deck" contains letters in the same sequence as in "Lydecker," so I suppose that would be a good reason to spell it in the normal way. Hmm. I'll have to think carefully about it before I put him in another fan-fic.

I just read thru #5 so maybe you answer the question later. Why in the heck woudl you not spell Deck as a nickname for Lydecker. I don't get it. Why Dek. He was never known as that.

i read part of this story ages ago, then due to ff.net and its rating thingies for firstpages (PG-13 fics were only showing up) asumed that you had ceased updating. well you havent and i just read from where i left off and LOVED IT! is there going to be anymore?

Loved the story and I wish you had thought to post it one chapter at a time every few days or so. That way it would have stayed on page one for 3 weeks. It will get lost and people won't read it. I'll try to get the word out.

Thank you so much for continuing this. It isn't often you get to read a really well done Lydecker fic. Most authors either ignore him, or don't really concentrat on giving him hi dues. You've really done an excellent job in characterising him and you've really drawn me into the story. I hope you can continue this soon.
