Thanks for writing this epilogue. It's nice to see the team missing their experiances with Kit and Jasper even though they were put through hard and somewhat painful stages.
Hope your other fanfictions (if you plan to write any) are as strong as 'On The Road To Come What May'.

This was just as much a reflection for me as it was for Team Sheppard. What fun to sit and think of Kit, Annis, and Jasper; wondering how they were getting along and if (through you) I would ever see them again. I wish I had had a beer to toast them as well. And yes, to bad poetry, as well (lol).

I cracked my sides at, "McKay the Great, the genius bold, who never did what he was told." That is so very true!

I asked myself, 'Do I want to go back?' Answer: 'Yes, but not to stay for a long while, because sometimes we put a spin on our adventures and the farther we are from ground zero, the better they look. It was a horrible trip that almost killed Sheppard; turned Rodney in to a cretin; Caused Teyla too much stress and paired Ronon with a spoiled creep. Let's call it an excellent adventure and be done. Besides, Teyla and Kit are correct, they can take care of themselves. The only reason to return now is too fulfill some misplaced code that will only make things worst when the team leaves, again. They can't keep relations open; that planet doesn't have any trading resources that we know of and Atlantis is still too unstable.

But it was grand. Just enough to bring back the smiles, THANKS.

(But it is worth learning how to take notice of our immediate surroundings, we miss so much, by looking towards the horizon all the time.)

Thanks for showing some things from the team's perspective! I really liked it! :D

I was so glad to see this sequel. As you so rightly stated in your footnotes those thoughts and experiences our SGA team took away with them couldn't possibly have been expressed by Kit or Jasper but there's no way they could have gone through the experiences they did without them having a lasting effect on them and vice versa. Rodney may well have been out of his depth, skill-wise but he would have been amused to know how many of his mannerisms Kit was adopting. Ronan begrudgingly admitted he'd come to like Kit and even that he shared a fondness for poetry with Jasper. The big guy never ceases to amaze me. Teyla's spiritual nature enjoyed getting back to nature but she's realised she needs to keep in touch with her people more. And Sheppard, always wanting to 'save Ford' sees a need to finish things, leaving no man behind and striving to resolve any conflict they've dipped their toes in.

We needed to see them recovered, but also to know that they weren't just able to wipe their recent acquaintances from their memories like yesterday's news. Nicely done.

What a wonderful companion to "On the Road to Come What May"! It's just what I needed to complement that lovely story! Well done and thanks for sharing! :)

Good stuff. It was nice to get some team perspective on all that happened. i love the idea of them turning lyrical and poetic - apart from Rodney obviously. Thanks once again.

This is a very nice postscript to the story. Not too long, and you are right that Rodney's strengths would not be much in evidence in Kit and Jasper's world.

As for noticing different smells and such after an absence, just going away for a vacation makes everything seem just a little different on the return home. Nice touch including that part of Sheppard's reacclimation to Atlantis.

I look forward to reading more of your stories.

wow yup im guessing after 3 weeks with no baths or showers you would be smelling pretty ripe and that everything that was normal as far as smells goes before was to much after that long away :)

Thank you for this epilogue! And for addressing the Rodney/Kit/Jasper relationship. I liked how Rodney thought it over and decides to start trying a bit more, starting with Zelenka. The smell thing was brilliant! Hope to read a new story soon!
