I agree. I think Bogg would have punished Jeffery in that manner if the situation had called for it; he's from an earlier time when parents spanked their children (too bad things can't go BACK to earlier times!) and Jeffery probably would have responded pretty much like you predicted. Well done.

Hi, I just wanted to send you a little note and tell you that I loved your story. I didn't actually know anyone remembered the show Voyagers!, let alone wrote stories about it. I watched it when it was on, and then later in life recorded the episodes when they replayed on the SciFi channel. I always loved that line from the Billy the Kid episode and thought for sure Bogg would have swatted Jeff one for what he'd done. I thought your story worked very well with Jeff running off to take some time to recover. And I loved that Jeff ends up thinking maybe Bogg needed more comforting when it was all said and done then Jeff did. Thanks so much for posting it. :)

Great job, Jake! I don't think anyone other than Mrs.Bogg has ever approached this subject on a serious level. How does Bogg keep control over his young partner? There have been lots of threats in the past, but nothing to substantiate what ever happens. I recall in one of Mrs Bogg's stories, Bogg totally lost it and slapped Jeff for his misbehaving. I've only addressed this with the usual threats in my stories, with the exception of TSOC where I threw a play spanking in for comic relief.

This is a truly heartbreaking POV and probably rates a 8 on the Kleenex scale. Keep up the good work.

All kids need a bit of this kind of discipline. This was a sweet POV. I can imagine this is how Jeff and Bogg would react to something like this and then the all encompassing, Bogg Hug! POVs can be fun to write, but it's not easy! I tried my hand at one too.
