so therefore in the 2nd little bit/section whaterver it's Vanir apparently HAS a place to stay

Right, first of all, I loved this chapter. It was nice after the busy chapter but it had enough in it to keep me going till you have time to update next.
Hm, Murtagh is watching the house at night? If I was Formora I would totally attack during the day then, or as soon as Murtagh left. If Eragon was on his own, or less poeple were around say Arya and that were at work, that would be a good time at attack. Wait what am I saying? I don't want Eragon and/or Ren hurt! Argh! Don't give sussiekitten ideas! *cough*
So that's the favour Murtagh asked of Saphira, I understand him completly but I also understand Saphira for being unsure. I would be unsure about handing my best friend's kid over to a vampire even if said vamp was the father. I think she did the right thing thou, Ren is Murtagh's kid and Murtagh is putting his life at risk to protect him, its only fair that Murtagh gets to hold him, even if its just once. Geeze, I'm a total romantic.
Speaking of romance, I smell hidden feelings in this chapter. Eragon's hurt that Murtagh won't court him, Murtagh wanting a family (but not letting himself believe that), I think their bond runs deeper then they both think and they, in a way, love each other and want to be with each other. No I don't expect them to leap into each other's arms and proclaim their undying love, thou it would be nice, but I think there could be a relationship if they would only try for it. I understand Eragon's feelings, he was raped after all but I think he's gotten over that subconsciously and could fall in love if he let himself. At least for Ren's sake.
Was it Eragon who walked in on Murtagh at the end of the chapter? I know you won't tell me, but I think it was. Oh dear, I see sparks flying. That cliff caught me by surprise too, I fell right over the edge on that one! I was feeling all gooy and warm with Murtagh cuddling Ren then all of a sudden; "What's he doing here!?" Que me falling off cliff.
I loved this chapter and I can't wait for the next one! Even if I have to wait till Jan 2010, thou you won't do that to me right? *puppy-dog eyes*
