Kariesue 2009-12-08 . chapter 31I love you and I hate you! I love you because your stories are so absolutely incredible and I hate you because now I am addicted to reading them. I already have enough addiction (watching every ep of Atlantis over and over being one of them). I love you because you give me exactly what I want in a story, Sheppard and his brother interacting (and Dave finding out how amazing John really is and how important to others and the fate of the galaxy), John being whumped big time, Torran and John interaction (but there's never enough of this, I want more!) and explosive storylines that are so full of detail and yet so easy to read. But I hate you because these stories are SO good that I can't stop reading them and I have to stay up half the night to get them finished. I'm going to get fired if I start falling asleep at work! And it will be all your fault. Now I have to go and read just one more!! |
kirroth 2009-11-16 . chapter 30Okay, that was frakking awesome. Now you know what's coming, the begging for a sequel so we can see more of Sheppard hanging out with his brother and his new sister! At first, I wouldn't have imagined Rodney getting so excited at the end, I would have thought he'd be complaining about being stuck at a ranch around disease-carrying livestock and such. But after thinking about it, his excitement does make sense. Going to that ranch would be like seeing a piece of Sheppard's hidden past. McKay still has trouble believing the Mensa thing, now thinking of Sheppard growing up as a rich kid? Heh.
This fic had me hooked. Read it in two, maybe three days. A worthy sequel to "Blood is Thicker." |
kirroth 2009-11-15 . chapter 16hm, who is this Dimitri? He showed some small compassion for Sheppard in the previous chapter. Perhaps he's trying to help, now? Or maybe it's just self-serving...
Oh, and I meant to mention this earlier, but I love how you're giving us little flashbacks into John's past. Poor Sheppy crashing on his brother's couch. Wonder what he and his father spoke of that last time.. |
kirroth 2009-11-15 . chapter 11heh, I love seeing the dark side of Sheppard.
And I didn't even realize what he had planned when he asked for the Zat back. I was wondering why he needed to set the charge...why would he let Dave walk around without arming the Zat first? Lol... |
Shadow Chaser 2009-10-18 . chapter 30Wo! Yet another great story and it is a great sequel to "Blood is Thicker." I really like the characterizations and the sweet, sweet ending. May I be like Oliver Twist and hold up my metaphoric bowl and ask for one more sequel to this to make it a trilogy? Preferably perhaps one that takes place in both Atlantis and Earth equally? Therefore you have one for Atlantis-centric, one for Earth-centric. And maybe something to do with Perses - especially now that he has that goa'uld toxin in his hands. Again, great job!

bailey1ak 2009-09-01 . chapter 11I probably should have, but I so didn't see Sheppard shooting his brother with the Zat coming. Dave is going to be so mad that he fell for that. Really enjoying the story. |
 Steve Austin 2009-03-31 . chapter 31 Hi there T'Pring,
I have see you down the Shep Whump Thread, but I think I've never readed from your fics, and I just spend a hell of a time reading My Brother's Keeper, but then again I couldn't avoid to read first Blood is Thicker, and I think they are absolutly brilliant! You reaaly know how to write...and how to whump. Seriously, it was an original plot, but also so intelligent writting there. And i must say I enjoy so much comfort, as much as whump itself, so I particulary loved the final eps from My Brother's...Thank you very much. Are you writting something else that long nowadays? |
Steve Austin 2009-03-15 . chapter 1 ok , after a though selection I decided to start
My Brother's Keeper...my lord! after this ep, I know now I made a smart decision.
Fantastic last line!

ManicTater 2009-03-06 . chapter 30I loved the ending, too. I like how much John likes having a "sister" and how much he likes being able to conduct some risk-free flirting :)
Torren's birthday party was a great idea. I also liked John's story about how Amelia affected his life. |
ManicTater 2009-03-06 . chapter 29I've been extremely amused at several points in your story, but this one made me actually, literally laught out loud in the library and brought tears of laughter and hate to say it, love to my eyes:
“Not really. For the record, you can tell any woman you want that I’m sweet, especially if she’s hot. You breathe a word of that crap to another guy? I’ll deck you.” |
ManicTater 2009-03-06 . chapter 28“Antidote, Dave. I’m not taking another Vicadin until I know why I’m still alive to feel crappy enough to want it.”
I want to tell you all the things I love about the story, but then I would just be cutting and pasting each chapter into the review.
I'm continually amazed at the characterizations and the insights and details you give us about their thoughts and feelings. I really look forward to reading more of your fics. And I'm sure some of them will be repeats for me. |
ManicTater 2009-03-06 . chapter 27I particularly liked these passages:
Dave came and went. It was weird to see his brother working the room on those occasions when John found himself awake and Dave was there. He moved and talked and acted as if he owned the place. There was none of the uncertainty he had suffered during his first trip to Atlantis, and his brother’s familiarity started to creep John out. It reminded him of how David had worked the party at their father’s funeral; never too sad, never quite too cheerful for the occasion. Only here the party was the infirmary, the guests were John’s friends and colleagues, and the funeral was John’s.
he started to wonder if he might actually be getting better... hope began to grow along with the ache in his back and arm and hand. Even then, he waited until he happened to be alone with Keller before he worked up the courage to ask.
He found himself blushing from embarrassment, but he had to ask, he had to know for sure, “I’m really OK? You’re not just propping me up?”
And:“David your brother. He conned that Perses character out of the antidote somehow. Got in a spot of trouble with Landry for it, too.” I bet!! LOL! |
ManicTater 2009-03-05 . chapter 26Another wonderful chapter!! Beautifully done. I really enjoy your story telling. |
 ManicTater 2009-03-05 . chapter 25LOL! |
ManicTater 2009-03-05 . chapter 24Holy crap! That was an awesome chapter! I thought Dave was going to release the poison when he started thinking about why John was willing to sacrafice his life for his job. And what another great shock when he returned to the ship just in time to see John transport out. |
