Just thought i should comment that obvious piece of information, but I really want to say that I've read all of JOdi Picoult's books and exactly the ones you listed in your suthors note are my favorites too, no exceptions, so i thought that was kinda cool.

Jodi Picoult is indeed a good writer, and so are you. :) This was a wonderfully sad story. Unfortunately for Chris, I think you're right about him eventually killing himself-when you look at it, he really didn't have anyone besides Emily.

(By the way-hope you've read her second-to-latest book, Handle With Care. It's probably my favorite of hers. Really very good.)

wow that was really good! i mean i know chris killed himself in this, but i'd like to think if there was a heaven they would end up together, away from her pain and suffering :)

This was really great. I loved how you made them 9 again, because you made a great point about it. Everything you said about the book and their relationship was what I thought, too.

I enjoyed the one-shot immensely, really. 'The Pact' is an inspiring story, isn't it? right now whenever i try to sit down and write something I end up describing a suicide or something somehow related to the story.
