Sorry to burst your bubble but he is dead.

I've been in denial since my mom literally forced me to read TOD (she threatened to take away my computer privileges until I read it) and I spend at least an hour every week trying to find ways he could be alive, or ways he could be brought back to life. I actually have an impressive list by now.

This is crap. Especially the title. These can't be the reasons that he could be alive. THESE ARE THE REASONS THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NO DOUBT THAT HE PULLED THROUGH! THE MAN LIVED! He didn't die. I realize I live in denial. I don't care. That elf is ALIVE! Number 10, best. Reason. Ever.

Just playing devil's advocate here but... Nearly Departed could apply to Holly who nearly died and authors seldom pay attention to who people like. If you want to know who will die in a series, just as me who my favourite character is and odds are it will be them.

But you may have something with that fireproof suit thing...

later on in the chapter it says foaly had to watch the sequences backwards, PUTTING ROOT BACK TO TOGETHER, as it reversed, so i dont think he would of survived blowing up into little pieces would he...

Um ok... Well the first 2 reasons you said actually apply to me.Root rocks he is one of my fav characters. I also said he was one of the greatest elves to ever live on the Eoin Message boards.So I like Root and a smashing good idea! (I just felt like saying smashing!)
