littlelights 2009-02-16 . chapter 11This is one of the best fics of this genre I have read in a great while! Great characterization, description, and great interweaving of plot with its corresponding episode. Great work! |
 review 2008-12-19 . chapter 1 the best will/djaq story i ever read!! |
HighPriestessOfTheDreamWorld 2008-12-03 . chapter 11Oh what a lovely story. Truly beautiful. It was nice to see a flowing and believable plot along with the occasional naughty stuff. It also went a long way towards clearing up the mystery of why Will would abandon his life in England in order to stay in the Holy Land. Congratulations on a wonderful story. |
jack 2008-11-17 . chapter 11 This was wonderful. I just read it (all of it) and my head is now full of will and Djaq and I eternally thank you for your amazing story, which is fluffy but has no mistake in it that I could see when it comes to the actual BBC plot and last but not least is very well written. That last one alone is a huge accomplishment. So once again, Bravo! |
fireheart93 2008-11-15 . chapter 11I really enjoyed reading this. Djaq and Will are my favourite pairing and I think you really did them justice. Well Done!:) |
Ravenya03 2008-11-14 . chapter 11Aww, lovely ending and I think you did a good job of explaining why they'd want to stay. I'd never considered that Djaq would want to stay for Bassam's sake. But poor Allan!
But of course, it's very clear that they don't really belong here. My hope is fading that it will happen on the show, but they really need to get themselves back to Sherwood! |
noz4a2 2008-11-14 . chapter 11I was sad to see this story end, too. I have grown fond of it, but all good things must come to an end, cliche I know but I'm sorry it fits! I like how you were able to show us what might have made W&D to stay in Acre. I loved Much's reaction, I could just see him doing that. It was a wonderful story, I love all the stories you write. I hope that there are more to come, please don't retire from writing fan fictions you are great at them. I would have liked to have known what Robin would have said to them, but it pretty much was agiven on that one. Thanks for the great story...looking forward to more from you. |
Wenrom31 2008-11-14 . chapter 11Sniffle. I have really enjoyed this story. This chapter was a lovely way to look at the idea of them staying behind. It was hopeful, rather than entirely sad (the show's finale was just sad!), and it fit perfectly with the entire theme of the story: a Second Chance. It's great to be able to think of this as the beginning of something for them rather than as an ending. The show's finale just failed for me so miserably in that respect. Watching Will and Djaq stay behind as their friends walked away felt so final. But you have opened it up nicely. They are starting a new life together in Acre (Yay!), but they will, at some point, return to England (double Yay!). I'm glad that your ending extended beyond that final goodbye. I enjoyed Will's initial glimpse at his new home. He's such a quietly observant guy, that it makes sense for him to spend time just absorbing all of the newness. Perfect.
I love the way that Allan understood their motivation immediately. He loves them and wants to be with them, but he totally gets why Djaq feels she must do this and why Will would agree to stay with her. Will/Allan/Djaq closure we definitely like!
And Much's reaction was just so completely Much. He would totally see it as a betrayal, especially to Robin, and be incredulous and really ticked off that they would dare to even consider such a thing.
I'm sorry that this story has reached an end. I'm looking forward to your next project. |
noz4a2 2008-11-07 . chapter 10Loved it. I had a feeling that is what was going to happen with them. Always great the way you describe feelings and actions. It was a sad chapter, actually maybe bitter sweet is more the word. I loved how you described Much blatantly staring at them while the others were a little more discreet. I will be sad to see this story come to an end, but I know there will be another one waiting in the wings! |
Ravenya03 2008-11-07 . chapter 10Wow, we finally get to see the gang grieving. On watching the finale I was struck by how impassive they all were especially when compared with the more emotional responses at the end of S1. So this is an essential bridge between the funeral and the final scene.
Nice to see Djaq crying - I think we've seen her in tears before, but not full-out crying (which is interesting since every other outlaw has been allowed the chance to be grief-stricken except for her!)
I'll be interested to see how Will and Djaq come to the decision to stay in the Holy Land. |
 i.want.candie 2008-11-07 . chapter 10awh- you made me cry :)
so emotional :) |
Wenrom31 2008-11-07 . chapter 10I am almost speechless after reading that. Wow! It was just so raw and human and, best of all, in-character! Great job. |
MissWed 2008-11-07 . chapter 10*sobs quietly in the corner*
Beautiful... That's all I can say. :) |
SpiritOfSherwood 2008-11-01 . chapter 9Really adorable! You are the AWESOME! |
 Ravenya03 2008-10-31 . chapter 9Aw, so sad!
I liked Will's culture-shock when he realizes that Safiyyah was a noblewoman, with servants and everything, but also how he doesn't let this phase him too much. And it was also nice that you gave the pigeon-scene some context. |
