That was Suzu, wasn't it? Atleast judging by the skull... he always used to carry his Master's head around- naturally, the flesh would rot away...

Utterly devastating, in such a way that captures the truth and dreadful honour of the men of the Shinsengumi, both in fiction and reality.

There is a poetry to this piece which is wonderful to read, and although I would love to give you specific quotes that truly captured my attention, I would be loathe to miss any out!

Beautiful yet terrible, moving but heartfelt, this is PMK in its most raw form, and you are a talent that I look forward to seeing more of.

bawls Not Okita! sob You butthead. It was a good story although I was hoping ti laugh becuz I love HijiOki and then there was barely any and now Im crying in front of my PC listening to a very sad song none-the-less. Any how I give 4/5(Sorry I love Okita so much)

I like the way the friendship between Okita and Hijikata is portrayed in this fic, as well as the snapshots of the various characters. Well-written with a good rhythm.

You know, this must be the best fanfic I've ever read. I love the way you put together the after of the original story AND the real history. How you made Tetsu, Hijikata, Okita's attitude against his life and all he lost, and, in the end,Suzu, as the demon, the lord who came for his head. How everyone knew that Okita wasn't going to come back but still all them preferred to lie.

I tell you, you made me cry in some parts, It's beautiful, Perfect.

So incredibly poignant and well written! The dignity that yu have given Okita is heartfelt and inspiring. I also enjoy the true friendship shown between Hijikata and Okita. Whetther they were lovers or not is irrelevant, as the depth and breadth of their friendship is awesome.

I hope that you write more PMK fiction- maybe something during the Shinsengumi heyday? You catch the spirit of that corps valiantly. Whatever it is I hope to be reading more from you.
