Personally, I think shooting Kinsey should *always* be an option.

And, Daniel? I saw what you did there! Messing with stuff on the lower planes, shame on you!

This is one of those episodes that was never really one of the best. I mean, this is right before the episode that they should've just called Flashbacks-to-Much-Cooler-and-More-Interesting-Episodes (although Thor being all naked and grey and pwnage was awesome...). BUT, you take the tag and make it all awesome. How do you do that?

I loved Sam's command experiences, and her taking the boys out for pizza. Teal'c drinking fruity virgin cocktails...totally canon for me now. Can't wait to see Vala's reaction to *that* in a couple years. The development behind the disclosure to the other nations is awesome too. It's been a while since I've sat and watched Season Six, but that episode (I can't honestly even remember what it's called. Disclosure?) always felt like it had been thrown into the mix to...take up space or something...

Anyway, this was as brilliant as ever. I am always happy to get an update from you in my mailbox.

Cheers!

So, first off, great TAG as always.

Second, I wanted to say how awesome it is that you're still going with this story. It's more than a little awe-inspiring. I can imagine sometimes you feel like not doing it anymore, just know that there are tons of people (including me!) who love this story and love getting updates whenever you have the time to put them out. So no pressure, right? You're a fantastic writer, and this series is brilliant.

Cheers!

I so enjoy you take on Stargate. I feel as though there are (or will be - keep on writing) over 400 episodes instead of the 200 or so TPTB have given us. And many, many of those you have written are more insightful.

Great chapter. And Thor! I love the little guy. Probably one of my favorite characters in Stargate. Such a shame that they simply killed off the Asgard in S10.

Good Davis Hammond interaction and it was also nice to see how Carter and Co. dealt with Fifth's fate. That never came up in canon, not really, and you wrote it very well.

Good job.

Another great tag R500. I could just picture Hammond's frustation and concern. Davis getting a black mark on his record for the hijacking is a good explanation of why when he shows up in the series finale of Atlantis he's still major. I would have thought he'd be at least a lieutenant colonel, but then he didn't save the world as many times as SG-1. Still now his lack up upward mobility makes more sense.

Daniel and Thor's interaction was great. Thor's emotion and care for SG-1 is believable and welcome. Makes me buy the Asgard's ultimate demise even less... if that's possible. But that is neither here nor there.

Great job. Thank you.

HEY RACHEL500!

Great Chapter! Good connection of the two episodes, wonderfully written. Thanks for the ending and for bringing Daniel in as a distant team mate if nothing else. I hope your week goes well!

I love it when you put touchy/feely moments for Sam and Jack into your fics. I don't think they ever did that enough on the show. With all the stuff they went through I think they could have shown a little more comfort towards each other in front of the camera. But then we couldn't use our imaginations then huh?

Nice job, can't wait to see the next chapter.

Nice chapter. Really liked the idea of Jack rehashing his decision through a conversation with Daniel in a dream.

I always thought he had made the only logical decision in leaving Fifth behind. I'm glad you didn't deviate from that.

I loved the end, Jack and Sam curled up together, their friend watching over them. Very sweet.

Excellent!
I especially loved Thor's look at SG-1 at the end. But there were lots of other good moments and it was nice to see what happened on Earth meanwhile.

Gah! These ones with Jack thinking about Charlie always leave me crying my eyes out.

Sorry, I'm just re-reading the Aftershocks series for the millionth time and I guess this is as good a place as any for me to take a moment and tell you what an amazing thing you are doing here. It's a huge undertaking, to be sure, and one that you seem fully committed to. What I appreciate most is that you never cut corners, you're never self-indulgent. You stay true the characters and true to the series and it makes for such a flawless read. Like I really am privy to those moments SG1 experiences between episodes.

But more than that, you've delved into the show's subtext with startling ease. Expertly inter-weaving unspoken feelings with foreshadowed events and even time-paradoxes. I mean, who ARE you?! It's like you've got the entire team of technical advisors from the series swimming around in your cranium! Either that or you're simply a freaking genius.

The amazing thing about you is your consistency. You capture each character so well, giving them an emotional depth that was barely scratched in the show, all without any sense of imbalance or favoritism. I mean, you'd think there would be ONE character that you didn't like as much or simply didn't write as well, but there isn't. You capture Janet's heart every bit as much as Jack's. Heck, even General Hammond is wonderfully developed in this series.

You are incredibly talented, Rachel. I hope you know that. Hell, I'm sitting here right now with a headache from all the crying. And I'm honestly not one to get emotional over a story. I swear! Being a parent probably makes these particular scenes worse (or better) for me, but really every chapter has touched me in some way. Even the ones that are tagged to episodes I didn't particularly like!

Sorry for the ramble here, but my feedback on this series has been a long time coming. And for every review you have on here, I'm sure there are a dozen more of us deadbeats that lurk in the shadows and enjoy the fruits of your labor without giving you the proper praise.

So here's a virtual round of applause for you, Sweetie. Along with some virtual hugs. I'd kiss you but that might seem a little forward.

Oh, who am I kidding? If I met you in person, I'd do a Jack O'Neill dip-and-kiss (just moments before time restarts).

Keep up the good work, Rach!

Hey Rachel500!

It took me a few days to read-college, studying, NCIS, etc.-but it was a good chapter! Hope all is going well and that things are looking up!
