Tinsnail 2009-08-29 . chapter 2This story makes me happy. Even though you have chosen a good place for an ending of the story, there is so much story hinted at that I can but wish there were more. |
middream06 2009-06-19 . chapter 2great start to the story will there be more? |
LE McMurray 2008-10-05 . chapter 2I'm really glad you continued with this.
I love the way you've written Sha're, determined and practical to the bone.
I hope you write more of this as you have a wonderful story here. |
Khentkawes 2008-10-04 . chapter 2Very nice! I loved Sha're's response to Teal'c. That speech she gave at the end was fantastic. It shows both her strength and her sense of perspective. I like that you have her considering long term plans. Obviously she's focused on finding Daniel and Skaara, but (as you show) I think she would also be thinking about how to defeat the Goa'uld. I also like the little hints you keep giving about Abydonian culture. That's something that was never really explored in depth, and probably should have been.
I've got to say, you could easily continue this story. It has so much potential and I hope you pursue it. |
Gilari 2008-10-04 . chapter 2This is really interesting. I've been meaning to write a similar story for a long time now (I hope you don't mind when I do..) but you've got an interesting take on it.
Sha're is one of my favorite characters, and there aren't nearly enough fics about her. She's so brave and so determined. It might be harder for the others to accept her into SG1 as it was for Daniel, but she'll probably keep needling till they let her.
The part with Teal'c was interesting. He probably has a ridged honour code that he must adhere to, including a life for a life. Well done Sha're for handling that so well. |
Eternal Density 2008-10-03 . chapter 2i really really like how you've gone into the cultural complexities which aren't often brought up in fics. great chapter! |
BookWorm37 2008-10-03 . chapter 2Wow. Truly excellent job. I'd like to see this continued, if you have the time and the inspiration. Not a bit deal if you don't, just putting it out there. |
Khentkawes 2008-09-23 . chapter 1I loved this! You write Sha're so wonderfully (and there just aren't nearly enough stories with her in them). I loved Sha're's determination, and her perspective on biding her time. You really explained how her strong will clashed with her own culture and the new world she found herself in, plus how she was attracted to that same strong will in Daniel. I laughed when she remembered that Daniel liked it when she challenged the elders, and that he frequently challenged them himself.
All in all, this short piece was the most insightful and nuanced portrayal of Sha're that I've seen in a long time. Thanks for sharing. |
 LE McMurray 2008-09-22 . chapter 1Very nice.
This is something you should continue as it would be interesting to see everything from Sha're's point of view. |
