I don't really know what to say about the story. I mean it is good and I can understand that your trying to go outside of your usual mode by doing this type of story. Like the premise and nice set up with the action scenes and story so far. I see that your using the not to distant future as a bit of a back drop for this one. I also see that per your style though trying to give less or popular characters a bit more of a leading or major role in the story. Josh isn't the common as the hero in most fanfics especially ones of this type. The story has me intrigued so far so I will stick with it and see how it goes I hope you decide to ride this one out. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Saw the title and the image in my mind was a calling card with an illustration of a chess knight. In large words on the card is the phrase, "Have Gun, Will Travel." The small print says "Wire Paladin, San Francisco."

I'm not a big fan of dystopical stories but this seems very well done. Hope those who appreciate the genre find it.
