Hey, this was a great oneshot! If this falls into your timeline at any point at all it would be before they leave in Shadows of a Dream, because I did not help but notice the absence of Midori or that Namine was speaking to Kairi in her mind. Wait, no, it doesn't fall into your timeline at all, it's just a great oneshot!

Screw the Shadows series for the moment, I loved it. Sora's playful demeanor at school and with Kairi, it all works. I had thought though that Kairi was 'sea' and Namine was 'ocean'. However, the way I see the relationship between the land, sea, and sky is that when you're on the land, the sea just spreads out as far as the eye can see, flying from you as you stand on your tiny speck of the coast and merging with the sky in the horizon.
