Oh.My.God. This was incredible and horrifying. I so didn't see this twist coming. It's like he has Locked in Syndrome. Great story.

Since this was written before season two aired, the difference in Eli's opinion on being a prophet doesn't matter. Really, having him think this way about it kind of makes more sense anyway.

And the ending... oh my... what? Wow that was just... seriously, that's so heartbreaking!

At first, I didn't notice, but going back over it to read it a second time, it makes sense. You never mention Eli actually eating any of the food that Maggie brings him, or him saying anything to her, just her talking to him. And everything he thinks is interaction, really isn't. It is a little weird at the end how he thinks he's talking to her, and to Nate, but he isn't. Weird in a good way. It's just sort... of unnerving, I guess is a good word.

Seriously, you have epic writing skills.

Episode 305 just premiered, and I came here hoping (irrationally lol) that perhaps you had already posted a fic in response. Instead I ended up rereading this one, for the third time I believe haha. I am a huge fan of your work; unfortunately, I often have trouble taking the time to review properly. Time to change that!

One thing that I really liked about this story, and your writing in general, is the excellent writing style you possess. It's very similar to mine, so perhaps I'm biased lol. Another is your attention to proper usage of the English language. I cannot stand watching someone blunder through such a special gift. You are a rose among thorns!

Aside from the cut-and-dried mechanical side, I also really enjoyed the ingenious plotline you hatched, unfolded, and developed to perfection. The characters were totally canon, a major plus for me, and the situation knowledgeable. The twist at the end really brought it home. As mentioned by some of your previous reviewers, you have a knack for invoking real emotions from us poor ff saps haha. All in all, it was a brilliant piece of literature.

If you're not too disgusted with the direction the writers are taking this season, I would love to hear your thoughts regarding the events surrounding the split and the new status quos for our "couples" (quotes, because neither fit the standard definition) via several more fics.

That was fantastic. I never saw the end coming. A grand combination of haunting and touching. I liked the contrast of Scott's attitude to Maggie's especially when I reached the end and realized what she'd been doing.I know I am totally rambling but that was just wow.

Wow! I wasn't expecting the twist at the end, but it was really impacting. How heartbreaking. I feel awful for all of the characters involved, Eli in particular... when he was begging ("Don't leave me") my stomach actually twisted.
