I thought a subject had to be living for Polyjuice to work--I thought that was the only reason Moody was kept alive for Barty Boy to impersonate him.

But I suspect in this story, Hermione will find out that Slytherins are human beings, too.

I'm very interested in how someone like Hermione could pretend to be someone else. She's so very much herself. I would love to read and see how she managed.

Interesting beginning. Malfoy doesn't look like he even cares about his supposed fiance. Perhaps he will learn to love her in the future when Hermione is pretending to be her. She won't be able to completely disguise her own personality after all
