Shit. Seriously? I could be extremely excited about this except I don't actually think it'll happen...

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa.

For any unfortunate soul who reads my review of two chapters ago? Just ignore that garbage. I was sad and upset and freaked out and I didn't think when I wrote it, and it sucked. I needed to "wait and see," and I didn't. So, yeah.

The lake/love analogy was just plain stellar. Brillaint. Genius. I heart that so hard and it was written so perfectly.

I'm so thankful they both got their wits about them and did what needed to be done. That said, I'd still love to high-five Edward for the comment about sniffing around his best friend after she told him she loved him. Because, yeah - that was too freaking soon to even try, and just...not right. And entirely the reason I blew up in that other review, ha. So I'm glad he said that to her.

But I'm more than ecstatic that everyone - including Jasper - realized what they were and weren't meant to do at this point, or at least - whom they were meant to do or not do it with. ;)

So. Freaking. Excellent. This chapter. Many kudos!

Oh, I have tried to keep my mouth shut for several reasons...

I have never seen Gossip Girl, on purpose. I can't stand that spoiled brath high society bullshit and games. I have never seen Cruel Intentions for the same reason. I have seen Heathers, eh... Still. I guess I just can't get with this whole life.

But I'm reading, because it's really fecking clever and entertaining, even if I'm having a hard time stomaching Bella making out with Emmett and Edward wanting desperately to three-way with Alice and Rosalie. I'm (primarily) a B and E girl, sue me. I know that wasn't promised here, but...

Anyway. Jasper and Bella? REALLY? I mean. You had me going with all the love. And then right after, you had B and E just...clam up? They got almost all of the important stuff out and then you made them bottle it up? Which brings us to two broken hearts and fecking Emmett suggesting something that grosses me out. It grosses me out because B is "supposedly" in love with E. You guys wrote it. So...that doesn't mean shite now? And if they're gonna do this to be hurtful, then, she's no better than those she's deriding.

Yeah, you make a point that they have always been the most alike, but that doesn't make love, no. I don't get this turning off and turning on of feelings so easily, even if superificiality IS the world they all live in.

Okay. I'm done with my diatribe. I'm going to keep reading, but honestly? I feel like I was played, too. Spent all this time on a build-up of B and E, made me believe it was real for both, and now this? Yeah. I want to see it through, but I feel physically ill about it now. If E winds up banging Rose and Alice, I will probably vom.

All that aside - this really is clever and well-written - thanks for putting yourselves out there!

So far I love the drama of this story, its really catchy. I would love to read the emmet outtake

Oh boy, I actually think this is as close to the perfect fic chapter as I've ever read. Jasper is perfection. "... his eyes lit with amusement and moonlight." Every single thing - B & J laughing about the kiss - just a joy to read.

I admire so much your ability to sketch a scene with so very few words - Jasper squinting through the smoke (and many other examples) - the visual is immediate.

I also admire and love you for putting Edward in the suspenders - that was a happy moment right there :)

Bella is fierce. I love her.

Who could blame her for running off with Jasper - I'd be happy either way but I think Ed is the man for her.

Short but powerful chapter. Bella broke my heart ... "searching for clothes - his, mine, Rosalie's - didn't matter ...". "I needed a door to shut on all of this."
