I love Dean's attitude after the Benders. This was so well done, just the pissiness of Sam since Dean won't let him out of his sight. Dean's attitude/embarrassment at Sam's realization that Dean is mother henning him is so well done. The angst factor of Dean thinking Sam is dead, just so incredible. The Bartender and then Sam showing up. This is just amazing and about the best Benders follow up I have read.

Whew, you had me going there! Well, I knew he wasn't dead, you said he wouldn't, but I was still wondering how he survived. Excellent job! :)

Wow, great resolution. I can't believe it was four days that Dean thought Sam was dead! Sam is really lucky that Dean stayed in town, or he'd have had a hard time catching up to him.

This offered a nice little bit of insight into Dean and his state of mind over the past few days: "He moved instinctively, scratching protective symbols over the window and door frames and laying down a thick layer of salt – something he hadn’t done earlier because he’d had nothing to protect, nothing to live for."

Glad you addressed how Sam found Dean at the motel, etc.-well, didn't explain it, but at least acknowledged that it was a question Dean would have to get the answer to. Cuz I wondered that, too.

Great job with this! Very well done!

Okay, trying not to hyperventilate here...*repeats to self, "Must trust Moogs. Must trust Moogs."* *whimpers*

This was a fantastic start. It's really well-written, and I was struck by how realistically you portrayed even your OCs. Though they weren't in there long, they really sounded and felt like real people with a history of their own. I'm really sad that Shiloh is probably dead. I knew that knob coming off was bad news.

I loved this: "Sam had often longed for that reassurance when he was at Stanford. He’d wanted someone to watch his back, wanted Dean to be there just like he’d always been ever since Sam could remember." Loved that Sam missed his brother when he was at school.

And loved seeing both of the boys' thoughts. They were very in-character. This broke my heart: "Take your brother outside as fast as you can. Now, Dean, go!" Of course that would be the first thing to come to his mind! Okay, off to see how you fix this.

ohmigosh I LOVE this so much Morgan. You really are so awesome. -hugs- this story is great...poor angst written Dean! -hugs him- did I mention how very much I LOVE this story?

-There wasn’t much anyone could do for bruised ribs and a shattered heart, anyway.- aw this line slayed me -dies- it's so sad and poetic.

I love the part about Sam outliving them...that is so very Dean. You have these boys in perfect character Mo!

aww M'n'M apologizes...that is perfect. Brilliant!

aw I love it when they sleep on the same bed. -giggles girlishly- Kripke used a word in one of his interviews "bro-mance" that's exactly what it is...and I LOVE It.

you rock my socks off Mo!

I don't think he's gonna be any less protective of his little brother after that ordeal, to be honest :p
