Meh.

The Edward / Alice relationship still makes no sense to me. Why is he such a doormat for her and why is she such a bitch to him? She's mad at him? What happened to her foresight? She didn't see Bella going downstairs? She knows it's Edward's private space but doesn't even try to keep her out of it? Edward should have been mad at Alice, not the other way round.

Why would Jasper show up without feeding first when he knows Carlisle is there to help a bleeding human? And why would he worry about Alice because there is blood? She's a vampire. She doesn't bleed.

Thank heavens for Carlisle, finally someone who doesn't treat Edward like crap, and shows him some modicum of respect in his own home. No wonder Edward has so much self loathing. Based on your characterization of Alice, she reinforces his negative view of himself whenever opportunity presents itself.

Why was she happy to just hang out with Alice when she had been told that Edward was out and would be gone for quite a while. All she's talked about is getting away, and yet, when the opportunity presents itself not only does she do nothing about it, she doesn't even think about it? Isn't she supposed to be an unwilling captive?

Poor Edward has no clue that Alice completely betrayed him. No idea that Bella's hatred toward him is primarily due to her belief that he has the power to release her, when in fact Alice is the one who truly sealed her fate by allowing Bella to figure out what they really are.

Way to throw her brother under the bus. Especially since Alice conveniently ensured that Bella knows what they are without explaining that she can't be released because her new knowledge. It seems that Alice is frequently written this way and yet in the context of her devotion to Edward it makes no sense for her to betray him like that.

I like the idea of the story but there is too much talking thoughts instead of actual interaction between the characters for me. I'm sure plenty of people liked this and followed just fine but for me I can't. Sorry

I agree there is a lot of detail. Some sentences seem to be added out of context as I had trouble following. Edward is different and the story itself is good so far.
