Sameera77 2009-05-01 . chapter 7I enjoy reading your story. I like stories focusing on Boromir as he is my favourite hero in LotR. There is something about his vulnerability that appeal to me. Or maybe I like fallen heroes with weaknesses more than ideal beings.
I like the way you presented the development of the friendship between a man and an elf. It was convincing, your characters differ much from Tolkien's version, but I found these changes refreshing.
I hope you will return to this story and upload an update of this story. Please let us know how Boromir's Elvish lesson progress.:) Take care;) |
Kilania 2009-01-26 . chapter 1Boromir and Legolas have a lot in common except for one thing: One's mortal. One's not.
Thanks for giving me a whole new light to Boromir- before I thought he was sort of evil! Lol. Fed those plot bunnies! |
Derra 2008-11-14 . chapter 7This seems interesting, I like how those two's friendshyp is developing.
Derra ^^ |
Twilight Kyu 2008-11-04 . chapter 7Your story always rocks as always. Keep it up! |
Jaimie-Erin 2008-11-04 . chapter 7This story's really in-character! It's almost scary. I love the way you portray their friendship, it's so genuine. It's such a shame that Boromir died, he was one of my favourite characters, even though all my friends thought he was insane. I think he's just misunderstood, and you can see why he may act a little crazy, with his messed up family. Poor Boromir and Faramir - I'm not really sure who was copping it the worst from Denethor.
Thanks so much for the chapter! |
Longing for Saisei 2008-11-03 . chapter 7YAY! RikuRocks, You Rock!! Mostly. |
asdfjkl; 2008-10-21 . chapter 6 please have translations at the bottom of the page. i know that boromir doesn't know what legolas is saying, but legolas knows what he's saying, and the story is about legolas just as much as it's about boromir. translations (in like an a/n at the end of each chapter!) please!
longer chapters! |
Brina 2008-10-12 . chapter 1 This is very well written and entertaining. There really aren't many stories with Boromir as the main focus and I enjoy the fact that you keep him in character and I love your portrayl of Legolas as well. Though I have not read the books in a while I can see that you are keeping the characters true to them. Keep it up and I look forward to reading the next few chapters and anxiously await more. |
Jaimie-Erin 2008-10-12 . chapter 6Gosh, this story makes me feel happy. A great feat considering the fact that I'm sick, tired, school's starting again tomorrow and I'm still not over my insomnia.
Question I forgot about before - do Boromir and Faramir really mean what you said they meant last chapter or the one before, or did you make it up?
I'd love to see Boromir learning Elvish. It kind of makes me happy with the fact that people of different races can take interest in one another. I only wish it'd happen more in the real world.
Thanks heaps for the chapter! |
Twilight Kyu 2008-10-12 . chapter 6Well, this chapter's quite nice. Keep it up!
P.S.
Have you checked my e-mail I just sent you? |
Swan-Feathers 2008-10-11 . chapter 5 Amazing story! It's incredibly well written, and very creative, though it also seems realistic, like it could have easily happened in the book. I never really thought about how alike the two of them really were-good job! Update soon! |
Sudden Change of Heart 2008-10-11 . chapter 5Not a fandom I have any contact with, but I enjoy your other writing a lot, so I thought I'd have a look. I'm glad I did - while I haven't read Fellowship in many years, I remember it well enough to be enjoying what you're doing here. I am especially enjoying what you are doing with Legolas' history. That sense of time depth and history is always the key that makes Middle Earth seem as real as it does. Looking forward to more chapters. |
Twilight Kyu 2008-10-05 . chapter 5Nice story. This is quite a rare relationship. Legolas is my most favorite character in the Lord of the Rings.
Keep it up! |
Jaimie-Erin 2008-10-05 . chapter 5This chapter was a little beyond me intelectually! I didn't understand much of Legolas's explanation of how elves die from grief mainly because I don't know what consort means. Apart from that, I was okay.
I love the whole friendship idea between Legolas and Boromir. Legolas has always been my favourite character, and Boromir and Aragorn have always tied second, even though Aragorn's mildly emo and Boromir can be a bit of a psychopath. I was really sad when Boromir died, especially as he did it to save Merry and Pippin.
Thanks heaps for writing! |
 Anon 2008-10-04 . chapter 4 Hi,
This is a really interesting story; a relationship very rarely explored. Looking forward to reading more!
One small point - it should be Elven rather than Elfin :) |
