Well, as with most of your reviewers I sure, I'm not big on Pony/Soda fics. BUT, this has been rec'd by one person and your fics in general were rec'd by another so I'm giving it a go. Plus, from what I've heard, your style is very similar to aero's work which I love. Anyway, on with the review - excuse any tyops, lol.

I was in the lot, sitting next to Johnny on the curb, when he walked by without a word or acknowledgement. -- Interesting. I like how it goes right into things obviously being tense between the two of them.

my eyes following Soda’s white-shirted back until he disappeared under the shadows of housing awnings. -- Nice imagery. Lol, I'm almost seeing it like he's standing under UV lights and his white tee is glowing.

The moon was creeping into the picture frame the window made -- Oh, nice description.

Soda’s fingers came down, smearing from my cheekbone to jawbone. -- Again, nice description. Smearing isn't generally a word you hear in that context, but I really like it.

Well, this is a pretty crappy review compared to what I usually write, but I'm not sure what else to comment on. I do really like where you're going with this and I think you've done a great job with Soda/Pony. As icky and just wrong as it is, you didn't make it too unbearable. I like the fact that Soda is still with Sandy and that Pony has a girlfriend, too. I also find the fact that Pony is jealous over Sandy kind of interesting. It's unexpected and definitely puts a whole new take on things.

As for your writing style, I can definitely see the similarities between you and aero and I like it. I think she actually told me once that she leart everything she known from you and I can tell. You have some really great descriptions and imagery going on, you have the angst perfectly, and you have the angry sex done so incredibly well - so long as I kind of ignore the pairing, lol.

I think, considering the subject matter in which you're dealing with, you're doing a really good job. It's good to see another fic that shows the truth of incest and the implications of it.

What a powerful story...I'm just catching up, so I guess I'm speaking generally...

As you said from pre-chapter one, this isn't about "teh hawt mansecks", but about something much more important. It's interesting, because if this story were presented in a very simplified fashion--Pony is being both sexually and verbally abused--there's automatic opposition to the situation. But because we're seeing this story from Pony's perspective--his confusion, his desire, etc--it doesn't come off in such a definite way. I think the brothers are obviously OOC, and the story can almost be classified as AU since the book's events didn't really happen, but it makes for a good read anyway. It's interesting to watch Pony's reaction and change in mental state and emotion with every new development in the story. It's almost hard to read...both Soda and Darry are assholes, and no one else is really in the know...I feel Pony's frustration.

And just one last comment: great writing. I alway forget to mention this because it's easy to overlook grammar and writing style when it's not distracting...fantastic job!

I knew there was a reason why I loved you. This, holy shit, man. There were so many emotions, and all the things that just made me wanna smack Soda in the face for being so, just, ugh. And all the things that made me go shitshitshit throughout the entire thing. I was so sucked in by the end that I was a little sad when it was over.
