excellent. heartbreaking, but excellent

Hey - I really liked this ... I've always thought the horrible things these characters suffer would affect them ... for a TV show they obviously can't spend time on that so your story was a nice look at just one possibility for how they handle it. Nice work.

I really liked this story. I like the way John and Elizabeth's relationship is detailed, and since I'm a sparky fan that makes it even better! (That was almost a tear-jerker moment when he thought she was dead! :) ) Only comment I can think of is: are they still in the cell at the end? Who created the illusion? If they are in the cell then how are they going to get out?

I don't know if I liked the last section, it was confusing and I felt like it was really over before that scene. "Maybe it was about love" was a more poignant ending. My favorite was "telling them he’s all right because he doesn’t know how to tell them anything else, and doesn’t know if he’s relieved or angry when they believe him and go." I can relate to that. Not, I suppose, to the same extent.
